Welcome to the Boise Chapter of Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families
We meet to share the experience we had as children growing up in an alcoholic or dysfunctional home.
By gradually releasing the burden of unexpressed grief, we slowly move out of the past. We learn to re-parent ourselves with gentleness, humor, love and respect.
What is ACA?
Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families (ACA) is a 12 Step program that focuses on emotional sobriety for people who grew up in dysfunctional homes.
Many of us found that we had several characteristics in common as a result of being brought up in an alcoholic or dysfunctional household. We identify with the 14 traits of the Laundry List.

ACA Resources
“This program is about learning to love myself and then others unconditionally. We are not God-connected if we don’t. Trust has to become a process, and love is a process. When I can trust and love me, I can trust and love others.”
